As you will see by navigating through our website, the Keeshond breed is one of the most attractive and versatile members of the spitz family. It is a hardy, playful and loyal breed making it an excellent companion dog who loves adults and children alike. The "Smiling Dutchman" adapts exceptionally well to homes on acreage, city size lots and even apartment living.
The Keeshond Club of BC was started over 30 years ago by proud owners and lovers of Keeshonden to promote positive awareness, appreciation and proper breeding of the breed. Those basic goals have essentially remained unchanged to this day. Take the time to visit any of the conformation shows held throughout BC and talk to any of the exhibitors - they will be only too happy to relate information or humorous situations they enjoy about their Keesies - and don't forget to cheer, clap and root them on in their conformation, obedience and/or agility competitions.
